Deservingly, they were gifted with a picture perfect day; with clear blue skies, and one of the best Florida Keys sunsets I have ever seen. Imagine *thee* sunset pictured when couples dream about getting married down here. That’s the exact sunset presented on Barb & Tony’s Day! Not to mention the fact that Barb looked like a bride straight out of a magazine–absolutely stunning!

From start to finish, it was a total WIN of a day. It was an honor to be a part of it. To give you the full scope of the day and the duo’s love story, read on below as Barb shares each and every detail!

OK, let’s start from the top! How did you meet?

“We met initially when we were seeing other people. We both happened to become single about a year later. Then we matched on Bumble. I never messaged him though. He then found me on social media. He was persistent, and I’m so happy he was! Now here we are happily married and best friends.”

What made you choose a Playa Largo Resort & Spa wedding?

“We had WAY too many family members and friends back in New York. We were looking at a 350+ people. That’s not we wanted. Our way of getting out of somehow being forced into inviting so many people was by leaving the state!

We tossed around the idea of leaving the country, but then it makes it hard for those who don’t have passports. So we landed on Florida. Narrowing it down, however, was a challenge in itself as there are SO many beautiful places. Ultimately, Playa Largo stole our hearts and had everything we wanted. From the beauty to the outdoor set up, it truly was perfect. We wanted our guests to feel like they were on vacation–enjoying a long weekend of partying and making memories. We hope everyone will remember our wedding forever.”

What advice would you give to couples currently planning a wedding?

“Stay in the moment. Planning your wedding can be stressful and time consuming and you want it all to be perfect, but staying present is SO important on your wedding day. Don’t worry about the little things. Hiring an event planner helps so much. We are so happy we did. It put our minds at ease while planning and most importantly on our wedding day! Enjoy your planning, do what YOU want. You do this once. And have some fun – it will be the best ever! Xo”
